Silo South Renovation
The LEED Silver, Silo South Renovation, project created a new convenience store and food service area along with new office space. Working with the campus staff, D. G. Granade ensured that the project met the LEED standards required. The challenge of a renovation project was in full effect, with many unknowns becoming known through the construction process. The project included construction of a new entrance with beautiful sliding barn doors, new food truck canopies, a new pizza kitchen and food service area. Reclaimed wood was used on the interior walls and gives the interior a very warm feel.
D. G. Granade’s crew performed the wood framing on the project. D. G. Granade’s subcontractors performed all other work. Major scopes included the site work, which included over 20,000 square feet of new concrete with an exposed aggregate finish, new roofing, food service, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
