Nevada County Operation Center
D. G. Granade, Inc. built this 32,000 square foot operation center building for Nevada County. The building is a pre-engineered steel building with insulated panels on the roof and walls. There is a 7,500 sq. ft. of office, 20,800 sq. ft. for equipment and automotive repair, and a 4,700 sq. ft. equipment mezzanine. The bottom 8’ of the building exterior walls at the equipment shop is split face CMU, which continues to the full height of the office exterior. The 9 acre site includes a sand barn building, an emergency generator and enclosure, carport storage buildings, material storage bins, and site retaining walls to stabilize the parking lots cut into the side of the hill.
D. G. Granade handled the construction management of the project, and our crew performed the carpentry work and worked on various other minor scopes of work. D. G. Granade’s subcontractors performed the balance of work on the building.
