Doug has been working in the construction industry since 1974, when he started in the carpenters union apprenticeship program. In 1989, he started D.G. Granade, Inc. after he and his family moved to Rescue in El Dorado County. In 1990, he formed a pre-engineered steel building division, which permitted a full range of architectural and structural freedom in design/build projects. Since then, Doug has continued to develop a very competitive construction company with an outstanding reputation. Teamwork is the essence of the foundation of the company. The strengths and the expert services provided reflect the commitment and caliber of the team members. Having a close working relationship with the Owner and Architect is the team approach. Doug is able to utilize his knowledge in various construction types, including concrete tilt-up, concrete block, wood and steel to best serve any prospective client.
Bob, along with his brothers Chris and Tim, has been raised in a construction family. His father is Doug Granade, President of D.G. Granade, Inc. Bob studied construction management in college after working in the family business during his high school summers. After finishing college, Bob transitioned from a field worker, where he earned his hands on construction experience for several years, into a management position within the company. He assists in development of most designs and is responsible for pre-construction services, estimating and management of public and private projects. Bob has served as President of the El Dorado Builders Exchange and worked with various County agencies to acquire a better knowledge of the requirements for construction in El Dorado County. Bob is also active in the local community as a 4-H leader and supporting his children and other youth within the County.
Tim has worked his way up in the family business from a field worker, to a supervisory position. He studied and attained his Realtors license after high school before returning to the company. His role varies from Project Manager to Superintendent, depending on the needs of the company. He is proficient at estimating and management of public and private projects. His hands on knowledge allows him to create accurate and meaningful project schedules that benefit our client as well as our subcontractors. Tim is very good at communicating with the client as well as D.G. Granade, Inc. office staff and is an asset to the project he is involved in.
Chris has enjoyed working with his brothers Bob and Tim in the family business with his dad, Doug. Chris has developed into the lead superintendent of the company through his years of experience. He is diligent in familiarizing himself with contract requirements, plans and specifications to identify any coordination concerns or conflicts that may arise or need to be addressed. As the superintendent, his responsibilities include scheduling of all trades and subcontractors, holding pre-construction meetings with sub-contractors and reviewing submittals and schedules at the meeting. He ensures that each project runs smoothly and that there is little conflict between the various personalities any project may entail. In his off time, Chris can be found fishing with his son and nephew.
