Suncast Boat Storage
D. G. Granade, Inc. was hired as the design-build contractor for this Gold Key Storage project. Gold Key teamed up with D. G. Granade, Inc. on this project to construct a new 62,000 sq. ft. Boat and self-storage building in a growing business park. The building was a pre-engineered metal building system with concrete tilt-up walls up to 25’ and insulated metal wall panels above to create the parapet. A standing seam metal roof was installed. The boat storage was a 4-tier dry stack system and was the major aspect of the building. An office for customer service was built also. The site work included a site retaining wall as well as completely new infrastructure to serve the building.
D. G. Granade’s crew erected the metal building and installed the metal roofing, erected all the self-storage system, and erected the boat storage system. D. G. Granade’s subcontractors performed all other work. Major scopes included site work, concrete, boat storage system, and pre-engineered metal building.
