Green Valley Mortuary Reception Center
D. G. Granade was selected as the general contractor for the construction of the 3,600 sq. ft. reception center for the Green Valley Mortuary. This building was an addition to the existing building, which houses the chapel and administrative offices. The construction of the building was conventional wood framing with engineered roof joists to span the 50’ wide room with no posts. The interior of the building included a new kitchen area, new restrooms, and a new reception center. The reception center floor is a white oak floating floor system installed over a recessed concrete slab. There is a dual-sided fireplace in the reception center that is viewable from both sides. The fireplace is surrounded by cultured stone veneer on both sides. The exterior finish is stucco with concrete tile roofing at the patio and TPO roofing at the main building. The exterior patio includes a water feature and the ceilings above the patio have a wood soffit.
D. G. Granade handled the construction management of the project and our crew worked on various minor scopes of work. D. G. Granade’s subcontractors performed most of the work on the building.
