Tracy Animal Shelter
D. G. Granade, Inc. teamed up with the City of Tracy for the construction of their new animal shelter. The building has a building-within-a-building design approach of using a pre-engineered metal building to provide the roof and a conventional wood framed structure below it. The floor of the building is a polished floor with a special aggregate mix used in the concrete to achieve the desired look. Inlaid paw-prints are scattered throughout the building. The roof is a standing seam roof system. The walls are a combination of horizontal metal panels and stucco above the shotcrete kennels.
D. G. Granade handled the construction management of the project, and our crew poured the concrete, erected the metal building, installed the standing seam roof, installed the horizontal wall panels, performed the wood framing for the building, and worked on various other minor scopes of work. D. G. Granade’s subcontractors performed the balance of work on the building.
