UCD Swine Barn
The new swine barn at UC Davis was a highly anticipated project that brought a state-of-the-art swine facility to the campus. The project included multiple buildings. One building was fully enclosed and housed the farrowing areas as well as labs and offices. The other building was the covered barn, which included stainless steel hog pens, a full-length retractable curtain system above the pens, feeders, and pen wash system.
D. G. Granade’s crew erected the steel building on the project. D. G. Granade’s subcontractors performed all other work. Major scopes included the site work, concrete, electrical, and pre-engineered metal building.
